Just hours after energy providers warned of a power shortage towns in the Hunter have lost power. It’s unclear whether or not is being caused by the power shortage from damage from bushfires of whether it’s unrelated.
POWER OUTAGES as of 11pm Saturday 4/1/20
There are Reports of power outages in the following areas:
⚠️SHORTLAND – around 100 customers affected – estimated restoration 12am, Sunday 5th Jan.
⚠️ELEEBANA – approx 30 customers – due to complex repairs there is currently no estimated time for restoration of power.
⚠️EAST MAITLAND – around 70 customers within the blackout area – estimated restore time of 12:30am, Sunday 5th Jan.
