OLD MAN IMPALED ON A FENCE ATTEMPTING TO GAIN ILLGAL ACCESS TO A PROPERTY

At 8.55pm on the 10 July 2021 a passer-by has contacted Police and Ambulance when they observed a 64-year-old male had impaled his left leg on a high metal picket fence whilst trying to gain entry into a property at Maitland. The male was freed by Ambulance officers and had sustained significant injury to his leg. When told by Police he was under arrest the male has argued and attempted to assault Police. The male had to be controlled by Police while Ambulance completed basic treatment prior to being conveyed to Maitland Hospital. The male was intoxicated during this incident....
