PETROL PRICES SURGE ABOVE $2.00 PER LITRE ACROSS THE HUNTER

Many motorists arrived at the Bowser today to discover petrol prices have sky rocketed to over $2.00 a litre for premium 98 unleaded fuel.

Coles Express in Muswellbrook was charging a staggering 205.9 per litre making it the second most expensive petrol station in NSW. Coles Express was charging more than .050 cents per litre than the cheapest petrol station in the state for premium 98 unleaded.

Costco at Boolaroo has the cheapest 98 premium fuel at 160.0 per litre for Costco members only.

The NRMA says fuel prices could rise even higher over the coming days before slowly falling.
