NSW Police are seeking public assistance following a reported child approach in Bellbird last month.
Between 4:30 pm and 5:15 pm on Saturday, 23 August, a 13-year-old girl was walking along Doyle Street when a utility vehicle pulled up, and the driver asked if she wanted a lift. The girl refused and ran away safely as the driver attempted to exit the vehicle.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his 60s–70s, with light grey hair, a grey beard dark at the bottom, and a crooked nose. Police have released CCTV images of a two-door utility seen in the area at the time. The vehicle is believed to be an older black or chalk-colored Ford with white flames on the sides, a tray spoiler, and black rims.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Singleton Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Images of the vehicle are available on the NSW Police media pages.
