News Update: Police Seek Public Assistance in Newcastle Robbery Investigation
In a recent incident, authorities are reaching out to the public for assistance following a robbery in the Newcastle area. On Thursday, November 16, 2023, around 9:15 pm, an unidentified man entered a service station on Elizabeth Street, Tighes Hill.
Reports indicate that the suspect, described as a man in his mid-40s with a dark complexion, approximately 180cm tall, and of medium build, threatened a female attendant, demanding money. The attendant complied, surrendering a sum of cash from the register before the perpetrator swiftly left the scene. Fortunately, the attendant was unharmed during the ordeal.
The Newcastle City Police District has launched an investigation into the incident and is seeking information from the public. Authorities have released a description of the suspect, who was reportedly wearing a red T-shirt, black shorts, and a black face mask.
