A Port Macquarie woman has been refused bail after allegedly being caught drink driving for the third time in less than three weeks.

Police first stopped the woman driving a Mazda 2 on Central Road, Port Macquarie, about 4.15pm on 29 May 2026 after discovering the vehicle was unregistered. Officers also found the driver’s licence had expired.

She returned a positive roadside breath test and was taken to Port Macquarie Police Station, where a breath analysis allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.133. She was issued a Court Attendance Notice for mid-range PCA, while the licence and registration offences were dealt with by infringement notices.

Just 12 days later, about 9am on 10 June, police stopped the same driver in the same vehicle on Munster Street, Port Macquarie. The woman was again allegedly driving unlicensed and in an unregistered vehicle.

Following another positive breath test, a breath analysis allegedly returned a reading of 0.248. She was charged with high-range PCA and released on strict bail conditions, including not occupying the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle.

Despite those conditions, police again stopped the woman in the same vehicle about 10.46am on 18 June. She was arrested and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station, where a breath analysis allegedly recorded a reading of 0.296.

The woman has now been charged with high-range PCA – second offence. Bail was refused and she is due to appear before Port Macquarie Local Court on Friday, 19 June.

Police said they will continue targeting dangerous drivers who put themselves and other road users at risk.
