Rescue Crews Free Trapped Passenger After Cessnock Crash

Emergency services responded to a serious crash involving a car and motorcycle in Cessnock this afternoon, leaving two people injured.

Rescue crews were called to Jurd Street around 5.11pm following reports of a collision at an intersection.

said the force of the crash left a passenger trapped inside the vehicle due to damage caused by the impact.

Specialist rescue operators worked to open the car door while paramedics communicated with the trapped patient through a window.

At the same time, emergency medical personnel treated the motorcycle’s pillion passenger nearby.

Both injured patients were later transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment and assessment.
