Residents accounted for as firefighters battle house fire at Blackalls Park

Fire crews have battled a fierce house fire in the Lake Macquarie suburb of Blackalls Park, with emergency services initially concerned for occupants believed to be inside. Emergency services were called to the property on Railway Parade North around 4.25am on Thursday after reports the home was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters arrived to find the residence well alight, with multiple crews deployed including support from Fire and Rescue NSW and the NSW Rural Fire Service, alongside NSW Ambulance.
