Yesterday in Boolaroo, a 45-year-old man was apprehended and charged in connection with an armed robbery incident. Allegedly wielding scissors, the individual entered a service station on Main Road around 1:10 pm on Sunday, May 5th, demanding money from a staff member before absconding with a small sum of cash.
Following the incident, detectives from Lake Macquarie Police District apprehended the suspect at a residence on Second Street, Boolaroo. The man faces charges of armed robbery and has been remanded in custody pending his appearance in Belmont Local Court on May 6th, 2024.
