A high-ranking police officer has been charged over alleged breaches of an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (AVO) on the Central Coast.
The 39-year-old senior constable, attached to the North West Metropolitan region, was arrested following an investigation by Tuggerah Lakes Police District. Authorities launched the probe after receiving reports of alleged AVO breaches between Tuesday, 3 December, and Tuesday, 10 December 2024.
Police swooped on a home in the Central Coast area around 6 PM yesterday, taking the officer into custody. She was transported to Wyong Police Station, where she was charged with two counts of breaching an AVO.
The officer has been granted conditional bail and is set to face Wyong Local Court on Thursday, 16 January 2025.
