Street Art Alert: Mysterious Artworks Discovered on Powerpoles in High Street, Maitland
Residents of Maitland are in awe after two intriguing artworks were found on power poles on High Street. One of the pieces features a squashed tin with beer bottle cap eyes, while the other has a thong nailed to the pole with the top of a can and beer bottle cap eyes.
Local councilor, Cr Ben Whiting, has taken to Facebook to seek information about the artworks, stating, “Anyone have insight on these telegraph pole characters? High St Maitland”. The artist has signed their work, although the signature is unclear from the photos posted on Facebook.
