A teenage male has been airlifted to hospital following a workplace accident in Nelson Bay on Wednesday morning.
About 9.00am on Wednesday, 28 January, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to an industrial site after reports a young worker had sustained burn injuries.
NSW Ambulance paramedics, assisted by the helicopter’s critical care medical team, treated the teenager at the scene before he was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.
The extent of his injuries is not yet known. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
