At approximately 10 am yesterday emergency services responded to a distress call at a shopping center on Main Road, Cardiff, where a child was reported injured. According to reports, a man riding an electric scooter lost control, colliding with the toddler, and promptly fled the scene after retrieving his scooter.
The NSW Ambulance paramedics provided immediate medical attention to the four-year-old girl, addressing a broken leg and a facial laceration. The child was subsequently transported to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition, awaiting surgery.
