Kurri Kurri Storm Update
Emergency services rushed to the scene this afternoon after a large tree came crashing down onto a vehicle in Kurri Kurri as violent winds swept through the area.
According to a witness, a man and a baby were inside the car at the moment the tree fell but we haven’t been to verify. The force of the impact caused significant damage to the vehicle, leaving responders working carefully to assess the situation and ensure the safety of those involved.
At this stage, the condition of the occupants remains unknown. Paramedics and NSW SES crews are currently on-site, and further assessments are underway as the storm continues to cause widespread disruption across the region.
MHV News is actively making enquiries and will provide updated information as soon as it becomes available. Residents are urged to stay indoors, avoid storm-damaged areas, and report any hazards to emergency services.
