A young teenage boy who became separated from friends while riding on mountain bike trails in the Ourimbah State Forest has been located safe.
The search operation at Wyong Creek involved multiple emergency service agencies, including NSW Police, Fire and Rescue NSW, Volunteer Rescue Squad crews and PolAir.
Cessnock District Rescue Squad confirmed four of its members were deployed to assist in the operation.
The successful outcome brings the search to a close after a large emergency response was launched near Red Hill Road off Yarramalong Road earlier today.
