Police are scrambling to locate 50-year-old Darko after a chilling discovery sparked fears for his safety.
Darko was last heard from around 9am on Friday, March 27, 2026, when he spoke with family members. Less than 24 hours later, the situation took a worrying turn.
At about 8:20am on Saturday, officers from Lake Macquarie Police District were called to a welfare concern after a vehicle was found abandoned on O’Donnelltown Road near Railway Street at West Wallsend — and Darko was nowhere to be seen.
The eerie find has left family and authorities deeply concerned, with fears growing as time passes.
Police say Darko is known to frequent the Maroochydore area, raising the possibility he may have travelled — but right now, no one knows where he is.
