Maitland Christian School apology not good enough.

The Maitland Christian School has been forced into making an apology after two kids on the Autism Spectrum were excluded from the school year six formal.

The school issued an apology, saying the excluding the boys do not meet the school’s expectations and strive to include as many kids as possible in all activities.

The mother of one of the boys only found out after posting in the school’s parent group on Facebook asking if there was a year 6 formal, only to find it had been already taken place and her son had not been invited.

It’s just not good enough in 2022 that this discrimination against children on the spectrum just keeps happening over and over and it’s high time these schools who continue discriminatory practices pay the price.
