Police attended a neighbour dispute in Ellalong on Monday evening after reports of an altercation between residents.
Emergency services were called to Olney Street about 7.30pm on Monday, 6 July 2026, following reports of a dispute involving several neighbours.
Police were told an argument broke out before a 54-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted by a 75-year-old woman. During the incident, the older woman was also struck and sustained minor injuries.
Officers from Hunter Valley Police District spoke with both women at the scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following inquiries, police have determined that no further action will be taken.
