Maitland Councillors signed off on a Mayoral minute recommending a $2,000 donation from Council to Maitland District Motorcycle club.
On 5 January, the group’s clubrooms were broken into and vandalised by fire, with damage largely contained to the canteen and nearby storage rooms. As a small community run group, the impact on the club has been significant.
Council’s funding will go someway to assisting the club with replacing and repairing the damage.
