Mulbring Community Forum Addresses Renewable Energy and Transmission Lines

On Thursday, May 2nd, from 5 to 7 PM AEST, Mulbring Community Hall will host a forum focusing on transmission lines and renewable energy zones. Led by experts from EnergyCo, attendees will gain insight into how nearby properties will be integrated into the significant shift towards renewables.

The agenda for the event includes:

Item 1: Transmission lines and renewable energy zones:
EnergyCo representatives will elaborate on the Hunter’s new 500kV transmission lines and their pivotal role in connecting solar and wind farms across the Central West, New England, and Upper Hunter regions to urban consumers.

Item 2: Follow-up to issues raised at previous Community Forums:
Cessnock Mayor Jay Suvall and local council members will provide updates on actions taken to address community concerns regarding roads and traffic. Additionally, attendees await a follow-up report from Mr. Dan Repacholi MP.

Item 3: The next Mulbring Community Forum:
Discussion will be held on potential topics for the subsequent community gathering.
