Three men have been charged over an alleged aggravated break and enter and shooting in Newcastle last month. About 8.10pm on Thursday 14 January 2021, two 19-year-old men attended an apartment at Newcastle Road, Jesmond, where they spoke with a 36-year-old man. Police will allege in court the pair forced entry to the home and threatened the man with a fire extinguisher. The 36-year-old ran from the apartment to a nearby home in William Street.
