
3.6 Magnitude Earthquake near Muswellbrook
Muswellbrook has been rocked by 3.6 Magnitude Earthquake around 8.40pm (7/2/2021) with many residents asking was that mine blast or earthquake? This Earthquake was a shallow earthquake with only a depth of 1km, this is the reason the quake was felt by many people with reports of windows shaking. Geoscience Australia and the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), both listed it as a magnitude 3.6 We have no current reports of damage or injuries from the quake at this stage.
