A male teacher has been accused of committing common assault at Maitland Grossmann High in East Maitland, resulting in his arrest. According to reports, Port Stephens-Hunter Police District officials were called to the high school on Cumberland Street at around 2pm yesterday in response to allegations that a student had been assaulted by the teacher. Although the NSW Ambulance service evaluated the teenage boy on-site, he did not appear to have suffered any physical harm.
