Three people have been rushed to John Hunter Hospital following a three-vehicle crash that occurred at Bennetts Green along the Pacific Highway near South Street this morning. The incident was reported at around 8:38 am and is said to have caused significant traffic delays, with southbound traffic affected.
Emergency services, including the Crash Investigation Unit, Transport for NSW, and tow trucks, were immediately dispatched to the scene to assist in clearing the area and providing medical attention to those involved.
As a result of the crash, the Pacific Highway has been closed in the northbound direction, and motorists have been advised to expect significant delays and use alternative routes if possible. Those using the highway are urged to allow extra travel time as traffic congestion is expected to persist for several hours.
Ongoing police investigations are also expected to take some time, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
