At approximately 9:40 AM on Saturday, 5 October, emergency services were called to the scene of a serious motorcycle accident near Ravensdale. The Westpac Rescue Helicopter, tasked by NSW Ambulance, responded swiftly to assist in the rescue operation. A man in his 20s was involved in the crash and sustained a severe back injury.
