A 19-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the New England region on Friday evening. Emergency services were called to Gwydir River Road, about 5km south of Bundarra, just after 6:35pm (8 August), after reports a Mazda utility had left the road and struck a tree. Paramedics treated the driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, but he died at the scene. Police from New England Police District have established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. A report will be prepared for the Coroner....
