A motorbike rider has died following a collision with a car at Howes Valley this morning.
About 10am on Friday 13 March 2026, emergency services were called to Putty Road after reports of a crash involving a motorbike and a car on a bend.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the motorbike rider at the scene, but he could not be revived. The rider, yet to be formally identified, is believed to be in his 60s.
The driver of the car, a man in his 80s, sustained minor injuries and was taken by road to John Hunter Hospital for treatment and mandatory testing. His passenger, a woman in her 70s, was airlifted to the same hospital in a stable condition.
Police from Hunter Valley Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
