Breaking News: Motorcyclist Dies After Falling from Bush Trail Near Lake Macquarie

A motorcyclist has died following a tragic crash on a bush trail near Lake Macquarie this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a remote trail off George Booth Drive, near Seahampton Road in Seahampton, at about 2:30pm on Friday (17 April 2026), after reports of a serious motorcycle incident.
Police from the Lake Macquarie Police District arrived at the scene and found that the rider had fallen down a steep embankment while travelling along the bush track.
The rider, a 69-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, but sadly could not be revived and died at the location.
He has not yet been formally identified.
A crime scene has been established, with police launching an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities will also prepare a report for the Coroner.
Investigations are ongoing.
