Wollombi Road Upgrade Moves Forward as New Contractor Appointed
The long-anticipated Wollombi Road Upgrade has reached a new milestone, with Daracon appointed as the principal contractor to deliver a single, coordinated works program.
With a contractor now engaged, construction activity is expected to ramp up throughout April, following a period of enabling works completed over recent weeks. The latest appointment marks a significant step forward in delivering the major infrastructure project.
The upgrade is being jointly funded through a combination of State and Federal infrastructure and housing grants, developer contributions, and support from Hunter Water.
Project managers say the works are now gathering momentum as the delivery phase gets underway.
