Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash on Hunter Road
A motorcyclist has been seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash on a road in the Hunter region yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Maryland Drive at Maryland about 4:25pm on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, after reports of a collision near the roundabout outside Glendore Public School.
Fire and Rescue NSW crews arrived to find a motorcycle had collided with a vehicle, ejecting the rider onto the roadway.
The male rider sustained serious injuries and was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being transported to hospital.
Maryland Drive was temporarily closed while emergency services worked to assist the injured rider, secure the scene, and carry out initial investigations.
Authorities have reminded the community of the importance of wearing appropriate protective gear and ensuring motorcycles are registered and roadworthy before being ridden on public roads.
Motorists were thanked for their patience during the brief road closure.
