101st Remembrance Day will mark 101 years since the the armistice treaty was signed which brought an end to the fighting of the first world war on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. The First World War officially ended with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles on 28 June 1919. Remembrance Day services around the Hunter Valley Cessnock Remembrance Day will be held at the Cessnock War Memorial (Next to the Tafe Grounds) it is advised to arrive early due to roadworks in the area or walk if possible.
