A woman was airlifted to hospital after a serious crash at Lake Macquarie this morning. About 6.15am (Wednesday 21 October 2020), emergency services were called to the M1 Pacific Motorway at Morisset, following reports a Toyota Hi-Ace van had left the roadway and crashed. We were told the Toyota and a Heavy Vehicle were both travelling north when the Heavy Vehicle commenced to change lanes. The Toyota driver took evasive action and lost control causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and roll.
