A 44-year-old man is set to face court today after an alleged early morning police pursuit that ended in bushland near Newcastle. Just before 2am on Tuesday, 22 July 2025, police attempted to stop a vehicle on Minmi Road, Edgeworth. The driver allegedly failed to comply, prompting a pursuit that spanned several key roads, including the Hunter Expressway and John Renshaw Drive, before looping back through Minmi and into Wallsend.
