Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott has embarked on a challenging 124 km ride from Gosford to Pokolbin, marking the start of this year’s Pollie Pedal. The annual cycling event, known for its focus on charity and community support, aims to raise funds for Wandering Warriors, an organization dedicated to helping Australian veterans transition to civilian life.
Abbott, a long-time supporter of the initiative, expressed his excitement about being back on the bike, riding through some of Australia’s most scenic routes in the Hunter region. “It’s great to be out here again, cycling through this beautiful landscape, all while supporting such a worthy cause,” Abbott shared.
