Early Morning House Fire in Cooranbong: All Occupants Safe
Around 11pm, last night, emergency services rushed to a house fire on Figbird Street in Cooranbong. Residents in the area were alerted to the presence of multiple emergency vehicles as Dora Creek crews and other local responders quickly arrived on the scene.
Rural Fire Service (RFS) teams discovered heavy smoke coming from the home. A control point was set up by the Dora Creek Captain, dubbed FIGBIRD CONTROL, to manage the situation. Firefighters entered the property equipped with breathing apparatus and located an active fire, which was rapidly brought under control.
The fire primarily affected the kitchen area and spread into the roof cavity, causing significant damage. Crews then worked to ventilate the property and clear out the smoke. Thankfully, all occupants were safely evacuated, and no injuries have been reported.
