
17 Thousand people in the direct path of Cyclone Damien
Cyclone Damien has officially formed of the coast of Wa and computer models put the coastal town of Karratha in it’s direct path. Cyclone damien is expected to make land fall Saturday afternoon bringing damaging winds of up to 200km per hour as the cyclone intensify and could dump between 200 to 600 mm of rain. The coastal town of Karratha has a population of almost 17,000 people.
