
An Australian Bulldog has died after being thrown off a cliff
An investigation is underway following an alleged act of animal cruelty near Wollongong. About 8.30am today (22 January 2023), a man was bushwalking near Clive Bissell Drive at Mount Ousley when he heard a dog yelping. The man searched the area and located an upside-down kennel at the base of an escarpment. An Australian Bulldog was located injured in the kennel; the dog also appeared emaciated and of poor health. Police were alerted and officers from Wollongong Police District, Police Rescue and Bomb Disposal Unit, along with the SES, attended and conducted a rescue operation to retrieve the dog.
