A day at the beach turned into a nightmare when 17-year-old Charlize Zmuda was savagely killed by a shark off Bribie Island, north of Brisbane.
The popular surf lifesaver was swimming around 100 meters offshore at Woorim Beach on Monday afternoon when the predator struck, inflicting catastrophic injuries. Despite desperate attempts to save her, Charlize died at the scene.
