Police have charged a Hunter Valley man with a string of serious domestic violence offences. Police will allege that on the 18th of November a 26 year old Hunter Valley man from Singleton threatened and strangled the woman in a toilet block on Bridgeman Rd Singleton.
Police will alledge that the man than forced the woman into a car where he assaulted her and threatened her with a Hammer before driving off with the woman in the car.
The woman managed to jump out of the moving car near a fast food restaurant where staff assisted the woman in calling police.
After an extensive investigation police arrested the 26 year old man today and he was charged with the following
• three counts of possess prohibited drug,
• unlicensed rider for class,
• choke person with intent to commit indictable offence,
• two counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear of physical harm (DV),
• assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV),
• intentionally choke person without consent (DV), and
• kidnap with intent to commit serious indictable offence occasioning actual bodily harm (DV).
The man was refused bail and will appear in court on the 8th December.
