
Terrifying Scuba Diving Rescue: Woman in 70s Airlifted After Near-Drowning at Nelson Bay
A woman in her 70s has been airlifted to hospital after a near-drowning incident while scuba diving at Nelson Bay. Emergency services were called just before 10:45am on Sunday, with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service tasked by NSW Ambulance to assist. The woman was brought ashore by private boat, where paramedics and a critical care medical team were waiting. She was stabilised at the scene before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment. Her condition has not yet been disclosed....
