A man has died following a fatal crash in the state’s Hunter overnight. Emergency services were called to Maitland Road, near Henry Street, at Tighes Hill, after reports a car had left the road and collided with a power pole about 11.10pm yesterday (Saturday 5 November 2022). Initial inquiries suggest a Hyundai i30 was travelling east on Maitland Road when it left the roadway and collided with a power pole, splitting it in half and ejecting the male passenger from the vehicle.
