An investigation is underway after a burnout incident in Abermain left seven people injured, including two children.
Emergency services were called to Bromage Road around 12:05 am following reports of a vehicle losing control during a burnout. Police were told the vehicle crashed into a parked car, which then struck onlookers.



The driver, an 18-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital under police guard. Two children, aged five and six, were taken to hospital with serious injuries, while five adults were also hospitalized for treatment.
A crime scene has been established, and the Crash Investigation Unit is examining the circumstances of the incident.
Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the burnout or has video footage to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
