A 65-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash on a remote road in the Hunter region. Emergency services were alerted when the man was brought to Merriwa Hospital around 4:20 PM on Saturday (15 February 2025) by a family member. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. Police reports indicate the man was a passenger in a 4WD that crashed and rolled on Roma Road, approximately 40km north of Merriwa.
