Australia’s gun laws are being put under the microscope in the wake Wieambilla shootings which saw two police officers shot and killed.
Two top cops in the NSW the Police Commissioner Karren Web and Deputy Commissioner Dave Hudson are calling for national gun law reforms.
They’re calling States and Federal Governments to draw up national gun laws.
There are two reasons they’re pushing hard for a review and tighten gun laws.
The first reason is because of the heightened threat and dis-trust of police and governments after 2 years of brutal lockdowns and restrictions.
The second reason is that it’s been 26 years since Australia last revised its gun laws under the Howard Government after the Port Aurther massacre.
