In a high-intensity operation, the Lake Macquarie Proactive Crime Team apprehended two individuals after a daring car-jacking attempt on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. At approximately 3:20 pm, law enforcement officers were on routine patrol along Carona Street in Windale when they spotted a 22-year-old man riding an unregistered yellow Suzuki dirt bike. Pursuing the suspect, the same dirt bike was later seen at a residence on Lachlan Street in Windale.
