BREAKING NEWS: Massive Blaze in Woodville Forces Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service to Airlift Injured Person

BREAKING NEWS: Massive Blaze Erupts in Woodville, Destroying Shed, Cars, and Hay Bales!

A fire broke out on a property in Woodville, and firefighters were immediately called to the scene. The blaze destroyed a large shed, cars, and round bales of hay stored in and around it. Thankfully, crews from NSW Rural Fire Service and Fire and Rescue NSW were on hand to manage the situation and contain the fire, preventing it from spreading to other vehicles and machinery on site.

In a dramatic turn of events, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service airlifted an injured person from the scene. Meanwhile, fire and rescue crews in Breathing Apparatus used their CAFS to blanket the vehicles in foam, while heavy machinery began removing the collapsed roof.

The situation was further complicated by a large LPG cylinder, which crews kept a steady spray of water on to keep it cooled. RFS crews are still on the scene as hay bales will keep reigniting well into the night after the intense heat.

Kudos to NSW Ambulance and NSW Police Force for their assistance, and well done to all the crews in attendance. The following fire and rescue teams were involved: Fire and Rescue NSW Greater Hunter Region Command MN3, Fire and Rescue NSW Station 373 East Maitland, Fire and Rescue NSW Station 374 Maitland, Fire & Rescue NSW Station 455 Rutherford, Fire and Rescue NSW Station 382 Morpeth, Fire and Rescue NSW Station 344 Kearsley, Fire and Rescue NSW 464 Toronto, and Fire and Rescue NSW Station 377 Minmi.

The NSW RFS was also on hand, including the Mulbring Brigade, Lower Hunter, Thornton Brigade, East Maitland Brigade, Bowthorne/Hinton Brigade, as well as the Paterson Rural Fire Brigade, Vacy Rural Fire Brigade, Duns Creek Rural Fire Brigade, Raymond Terrace Rural Fire Brigade, Clarence Town Rural Fire Brigade, and Greta Rural Fire Brigade.
