Cedar Creek Wombat Hospital preparing for the worst

Cedar Creek wombat hospital is still open in the Pokolbin State Forrest as the bushfire continues to burn out of control in the area. Cedar Creek has moved equipment from the hospital as the fire creeps closers.

Cedar Creek Wombat Hospital is seeing more and more animales take shelter from the fire and smoke. Some animales they have not seen in years have returned for a much needed feed n drink.

Firefighters have been working around the clock to build containment lines around the Hospital, with todays forcast of a hot dry and windy day with temputures set to soar in the 40c we can expect fire activity to increase in the Pokolbin State Forrest this afternoon.

Cedar Creek says everyone has told them leave but they just can’t leave these animales who are relying on them in these tough times to survive.
