Cessnock’s much-loved Stomp Festival is set to return on Saturday, 2 August 2025, with a fresh new location and a bigger lineup of food, fun, and family entertainment.
For the first time, the festival will be held on the grounds of TAFE NSW Cessnock, running from 10am to 8pm. The larger venue will allow more room for vendors, attractions, and activities, giving the event a major boost after its previous years of success.
This year’s free-entry event will once again feature the iconic grape stomping competition, open to all ages, alongside barrel rolling races, live music, kids’ entertainment, and an expanded marketplace of local food, wine, spirits, and crafts.
Cessnock Mayor Dan Watton says the festival is not just a celebration of local culture but a vital economic driver:
“We expect this event to significantly benefit the local economy, drawing visitors from across the region and beyond into our hospitality and tourism businesses.”
Local business owners agree. Savannah Peterson of Peterson Wines called it a great opportunity to showcase Hunter Valley’s wine scene to new audiences, while Jo Minett from Bonvilla Estate says accommodation bookings are already climbing ahead of the festival.
With something for everyone, Stomp Festival 2025 is shaping up to be a must-attend event for the Hunter Valley.
