Lake Macquarie Stabbing Incident: Woman Charged

A woman has been charged following an alleged domestic violence-related stabbing in Wyee last night.
Around 11:20 PM on Sunday, 26 May 2024, police responded to a domestic incident report at a home on Wyee Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 67-year-old man with head injuries and a stab wound to his torso. He was transported to John Hunter Hospital in serious but stable condition.
Lake Macquarie Police District established a crime scene and began an investigation. Shortly thereafter, a 65-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Toronto Police Station. She has been charged with causing wounding/grievous bodily harm with intent to murder (DV).
The woman was refused bail and is scheduled to appear in Toronto Local Court today, Monday, 27 May 2024.
