Two men, aged 29 and 37, have been slapped with multiple drug charges after turning a Bonnells Bay residence into a cannabis oasis. The Lake Macquarie Police District Proactive Crime Team, armed with a search warrant, uncovered an elaborate growing setup on Waikiki Street. The duo’s horticultural endeavor included a power supply revamp, with the property’s electricity system rerouted to fuel an extensive hydroponic operation.
